Montage It! Poster

Through this workshop, we combine the skills of modeling and drawing, with computing editing to create a set of architecture project. From model, we get a sense of what concept we need for our project. Then we try to draw the concept in to paper, and scan into photoshop for further manipulate. This was quite challenging for me, at the same time, I have a better understanding of how to communicate in the good architecture way.

Flip Book

First one is done by hand drawing then scanned into jpeg file. Through photo shop, I applied the texture of different material (concrete, marble, brick and etc)to make it looks real.

Photo Montage Submission

These two photo montages have been presented in the submission day. The day time one is more about to show how people's activities around the buildings, while the night snow one is aim to emphasise on the lighting effect of the building.

Final Concept Model

This is my final concept model of workshop 3. 3 hexagonal long tube lay on top of each other which create a very interesting space in between the tube. Also by shifting the tube, a balcony is created on the other side of the building.

Concept model 1

This model is fail to become my final concept model, because it is too common. It can be any where of the world. Anyway, my first experience with photo montage. A lots of fun!!

Draw It! Poster

Draw It! Final Sumission

Line drawings are done by using pencils. After rendered, the drawings give the reader the sense of depth of the line.

Magney House

Rendering Practise

There are the rendering techniques I learn from my reading. Different types of pencils have different effects on our drawings. Moreover, light and shadow effects play a very important part in the rendering.

Perspective Drawings

Above are the Perspective Drawings during the drawing workshop. Some of them are very simple, however, to construct an up to scale perspective drawing is not easy at all (even just a simple shape, we can see from the images above).

The last 2 drawings are the Isometrics and Oblique drafting drawings I did for the Magney House.

Line Drawings

These are the line drawings of the buildings in UNSW.

Model It Poster

This poster is done by mainly using Indesign. This is a map my model making journal.

Quick Drawing Practice

Above are the drawings I did in my week 2 drawing class. I finished each of them under 2 minutes time. As you can see, the "negative" area are playing a big part of these drawings.

2 Houses Drawings

These are the drawings I did by looking at my 2 Houses model. It is not as easy as I thought to do the drawings just by observing the real object.

Fisher House

Gound Floor Plan

First Floor Plan

Second Floor Plan

Roof Plan

My first whole 1:50 model is Fisher House by Louis Khan. Simple 2 cube house with complex window detail. As I say in the previous post, understand the plan is the first thing need to be done for model making. Anyway, so many things have been done for the model, at the same time, there are still so many detail I wanted to add for this model.
